Take me to SCFAI

Purpose

During this first in-person visit we will conduct extensive diagnostics to obtain a complete picture of your child's immune system and allergic profile.

The Purpose of On-Boarding Visits

What is the Purpose of Collecting Data?

The food intake questionnaire provides us with essential information that contributes to understanding your child’s case. Foods that your child is currently eating will be recorded. You will be asked details about how much and how they are eaten.

Education

Collecting your child’s medical history and evaluating them for potentially undiagnosed conditions are both important at this stage. Although it may not seem applicable, almost any condition can potentially affect the success of their treatment plan. It will be important to know as much about their medical history as possible in regards to allergy but also in other areas such as gastrointestinal, pulmonary, cardiovascular, endocrine, and psychological.

MD Coordinate Case

Some patients may have a complex medical history requiring more physician follow up and management to ensure your child is set up for success.

Common On-Boarding Questions

When is my next visit?
The front desk will help you schedule your next visit, which is your Launch appointment. This appointment is 2-5 days in length. During your launch visit, a physician will review your child’s results and TIP™ treatment plan with you.

Will my child need SLIT?
Approximately 45% of our patients are asked to go on SLIT to facilitate their food treatment process. Your family will be instructed if your plan requires SLIT. This is generally discussed at your Launch visit.
